Complex presentation

The complex presentation module is a tool that allows you to extract different properties of complex numbers (complex scalar channels) as individual Dewesoft channels. Using checkboxes within the module you can output the following properties:

• Real part
• Imaginary part
• Magnitude
• Phase (in Degrees or radians)

The reason for wanting to split complex values into separe channels is that you can display all of their properties on the recorder visual control and use them as inputs to other math modules.

The main advantage of using the Complex presentation module versus doing the extraction with formulas is that the module can extract multiple properties of multiple channel in one interface, whereas you would need to create a dedicated formula for each channel and every property manually, which can be very time consuming.
