Display types
There are 3 types of displays:
General and module-related displays are simply predefined displays which are meant to jump start you display creation process. The general displays will make the software appear like classic instruments such as strip chart recorders or oscilloscopes, whereas the module-related displays are built to provide the best possible visualzation for specific applications. For example, the FFT Anylzer display will create a 2D graph and display the FFT data.
Report displays, on the other hand, are only meant to for reporting purposes. The size of the report display is directly tied to a paper dimension, not to the resolution of the monitor. This allow you to create a Dewesoft display and then print it or export it to PDF and keep the same aspect ratio. Report pages also have individual timebases, allowing you to show only the desired time window in each page.
