Licensing
In the Licensing section, you can manage your current licenses and import new ones.
The license for measuring with Dewesoft is included in the device and the license for analyzing is free! DewesoftX can be installed on any computer and stored data files can be opened, recalculated, and exported.
You can check which plugin licenses are included by clicking Details. Additional licenses may be required, and they can then be written into the Dewesoft device. To test plugins, you can request a 30-day evaluation or a 6-month educational license.
Make sure that hardware you intend to use is connected and switched on, otherwise Dewesoft won’t be able to read and/or write licenses.
Create New License
Enter your license key and press the arrow next to the license number button.
If there are no DAQ devices connected to the computer, the license is generated only for MAC addresses of the PC, which you will be warned of.
Dewesoft will connect to the internet and will register automatically (online). If there is no internet connection, Dewesoft will offer offline registration.
Offline Registration
Dewesoft will create a *.lic file that you will have to save locally.
Copy the created license *.lic file from the measurement computer to a computer with internet access. Visit Dewesoft - Licensing. You will find steps to activate your license on the right side of the page.
Import License
You can import a license stored locally by pressing on the … button on the right and choosing a *.lic file. This license will then be written to connected Dewesoft devices so they can be used with another computer.
You will be asked to confirm that you wish to overwrite the existing license with a new one.
